Microsoft’s Windows 8 is also playing a vital role in the MWC event in Barcelona. Among the several Windows 8 running tablets and PCs, one that seemed to stand out quite a lot was LG’s tab-book Z160 which is a Windows 8 running PC with a slide out keyboard.
It also has a beefy Intel iCore i5 processor which promises great performance. Here are the full specs:
- Microsoft Windows 8
- 11.6 inch IPS LCD display with resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels
- Capacitive touchscreen with 5-point touch sensivity
- 19.4mm thick
- Weight: 1.25kg
- Sliding qwerty keyboard
- 1.8Ghz Intel Core i5 processor (turbo boost up to 2.7Ghz)
- 4GB RAM and 120GB SSD
- microSD card slot, HDMI output, USB 3.0
- 1.3mp front-facing camera
- battery lasts 6 hours on continuous usage
LG hasn’t told when its Tab-book will be released worldwide or what will be its price but don’t expect it to be cheap. After all, its the ultrabooks, not the tablets it is competiting against.
